Default Is NorTech Smoking crack?

Get a load of this

http://www.gcoffshore.com/gco_files/nortech.htm

Go there, check out the engine room AND the transom shots
4 big blocks?
Is that really necessary?
Man, some people just dont know when enough is enough
Let me ask
Was this EVER a production boat or is this just totally custom???
(my guess, custom)
I thought the guys with triples were a little crazy

I agree, that is simply rediculous. they should stop making them.
They should make me one, then stop making them.

Competition!!!! Check ot the Outerlimits named 4 of a Kind. try 4 100HP's in a 47 quad step hull. I'd bet you could run 70 then turn on the other two.....WOW!!

Wonder how much fuel these things hold?
Need some pretty big ass saddle tanks to keep 4 thirsty big blocks fed properly and to keep the boat out there running for a while before having to come in and fill them up again
500-600-700 gallons?

They only build what the customer wants... Must have some heavy hitters down there. I could name a few. They simply want something no one else has. Nothing wrong with that.

What a rig!
The engine compartment looks packed. How'd you like to try and change plugs on those?

The engine room is simple and clear of clutter
Clutter? There's no room for anything else!

If I was to ever buy one of these, I'd opt for a pair of V-12's in place of four enignes and drives. Or a pair of turbines.

Anyone notice the prop rotation? All are counter rotating.
The outer drives rotate out and the center drives rotate in.

I am pretty sure this boat was at the Miami Boat Show. I have seen enitre BOATS that take up less real-estate than the engine hatch on this boat. It is a shear awesome sight to see; but until I have more money than God, I will stick with a little more simple stuff. Heck, I can have an extra 2-3 hours of boating time over that Nor-Tech per weekend, considering how much time it needs to spend at the fuel dock.

I know the boat very well.

Yes - 4 motors is not what I would pick but he has had MANY MANY hours of flawless boating with the boat.

As for custom - all Nor Techs are custom just as Outlimits are. No 2 boats are alike.

As for this Nor Tec, the owner David has several boats:

50 Nor Tech
35 Playboy Cigarette
60+ Viking Sportfish
Big ass houseboat
and a 20+ something fishboat.

So in the race of "he who has the most toys wins" - I think he is in the lead

The 50 Nor Tech will also be at the upcoming Sarasota Poker Run.
