If Ilmor can build a marine motor that can go 800 hours before so much as a valve lash, that is an incredible achievement. Three cheers and a twitch of the Catman's tail for them!

Here's a fact you might find useful: In all the boats Powerboat magazine has tested with Ilmor engines—and we're talking at least a couple of dozen now—only one of those engines has had a mechanical problem during testing. Not speaking as an official voice of the magazine (or "endorsing" Ilmor), just telling you what I've seen.
