He's had at least 26 screen names here.

pumpkin
Wiggler[xxx]
chrissunkinyousuck (or similar was one of them)

I had a list but can't find it right now.

BBB725 06-02-2009 10:51 AM

Mr Darr posted this on BF, again it's always someone else's fault

Not that it matters, I had questioned the 10 degree rake to Gino, he said that it would make my boat run flatter and 1mph faster, this prop is what Nortechs need also, I'm out of town and there is no bank Branch in the city I'm in. I spoke with numerous industry pro's they all said the rake was too extreme , don't buy them,I told Gino to just ship them ground , not overnight, anyway. I emailed him Sat am that I would not purchase for this reason, he said he had 2 other buyers. I never made him bounce a check, Gino, sorry for your iconvenience, I too do alot of things free for people,

prostock85 06-02-2009 07:42 PM

Just recently heard of this guy as he has my bosses old boat. Was checking progress on the build over on BF and MAN do people hate this guy. At least I'm now filled in. I was truely amazed at how calm he stays with 90% of people trashing him. I would have thought for sure by now he would be in a trench coat wandering through people backyards. I do have to admit that he did a damn good job on the old 40, that is if its HIS work.

BTW, sorry about your dealings Gino

there are more than a FEW crooks on this boating web site. Some have money and just rip people off because thats what comes natural to them, others do it because they have no money. I try not to air it out in a thread, but I make sure to let EVERYONE know that knows me or ask.

It's a coincidence. We have never owned a boat with surface drives, & never looked for #6 props. No clue who Jim Darr is, & really don't give a ****. I just don't want anyone to think I'm him, cause he sounds like a POS!!

Credibility.

With credibility you can send $6000 props and say pay me when you get the props. This has been the dealings between several of us on number 6 props. You maintain credibility so you have the ability to deal with the small boating community.

If someone is a dead beat it surfaces fast. Go find another hobby and take away something from this experience. Look at it this way you learned something. I can tell you the same people who deal like this would not even want to take money from you or send you props once your credibility is shot.

Hi prostock85

Trench coat This is Missouri, or Missura. I am from Chicago originally and we had to register our guns and have a FOID card. After we moved here I went to the Sheriffs office with my FOID Fire arms owners id card and asked how to get one. Well the nice Sheriff lady says I dont need one, Ok what do i need then, She says dont shoot anyone unless you have too!!!
A year latter we need to call 911 and the Sheriff comes out and says "lucky I was close you got kids I would shoot first and we will sort it out later" :eekdrop:
Trench coat in a back yard in Missouri I think not!!!

O by the way for 100 dollars and a 2 day class you can carry concealed in the GREAT STATE of Missouri.:drink:
Man I love living here.

NJCAFE 04-05-2025 04:57 PM

So, was Jim buying something or selling something ? Was about to do a deal with him and came across this thread before I go wiring a bunch of money

Craney 04-05-2025 07:03 PM

NJCAFE 04-05-2025 07:21 PM

Deal with Anthony Smith at HP Mafia then. He is Weapon X on OSO.

Markus 04-07-2025 07:27 AM

It is your money. You are free to lose as much of it as you want.

NJCAFE 04-07-2025 07:36 AM

Thanks everyone
il see if Anthony is willing to broker the deal then and let funds go through him.

texaschopper 04-07-2025 02:13 PM

I was never involved with anything other than reading the threads Darr was connected too. They sure were entertaining back in the day. I would always look forward to logging in to see how they were progressing.

RIght Here is the answer. Anthony is Stand Up.

Helmwurst 04-08-2025 08:22 AM

Anthony is dealing on those new Amp boats! I am not in the market, but he offered me a good price.

Griff 04-08-2025 03:23 PM

Wildman_grafix 04-08-2025 03:34 PM

Is he part of HP Mafia?

ICDEDPPL 04-08-2025 03:43 PM

Anthony and Jim have been friends for 21 years.
He has quite a different story about the props that this thread started from.
Anthony trusts Jim 100% .
After a conversation with Anthony, you have nothing to worry about.

As far as I know, he is not in any official capacity, but he and Anthony Smith have been friends for years.
