Thanx, we try to head to the lake from Cols every weekend and we come pretty damn close!!
The boat looks better from 50 feet away when its going by on a trailer at 50 MPH than it does up close.
Busted ass on it for about 6 mnths doing the re-rig/pwr. Once it was running, I did'nt do **** to it after that!!
Made some mistakes structurally too that I'm now paying for.
Stupidist thing I did was buy another project boat!!
Have'nt done anything to the Sonic but pour gas through it since.
Getting it ready to tow to Fla end of April for a frineds boat get together down there.
Where do you boat??
Would love to hook up with a couple of similar minded/powered people for next summer.

We run out of all of those areas all the time!
Really like Huron, one of the nicest harbors on the S.coast.
We should all met some where??
Going to try and pull the Sonic out of the barn and get it wet ASAP!
Next weekend if we get a break in the weather??
May stay at Huron and do the "Huron bar tour"??

Twin,
I work in Leamington. The boat you are referring to is a Hy-Lite, built here in Leamington. Pretty cool machines. My dad's boss has one, a 55' I think. It's called Orion IV or something like that. Tripple 500's I believe.
I don't know Lake Erie very well at all. Maybe you can show me around this summer. I imagine Port Stanley will just be a nice run from Erieau if it's 95 miles from Leamington, I'm figuring around 60 from there. Not sure though.
We do a guys only PIB trip in June and we will be planning some OSO gatherings over in that area shortly. We'll keep you posted.

Cool, keep me posted and I'll let you know when we are headed for Leamington.
Going to try and do several weekends there this Summer.
The little woman and I both dive and there are a bunch of nice wrecks right around Point Pelee peninsula.

Will do Twin. I'm thinking of taking up diving. The father-in-law used to dive and would start again if I got into it. Right now he has me reading all kinds of books about the ships of the Great Lakes. I can't believe how much diving you could do. You'd never get to them all in a life time!
