can you believe this??

like Reggie sayes whe build the biggest fastest and safest and best boats in the world! yeah right

DONT BELIEVE THAT!!:mad::mad::mad:

THE ONLY THING FOUNTAIN WANTS IS YOUR MONNEY
AND THAN YOU CAN GO F>>K YOU SELF!!

Sorry for the bad spelling i am very emotional.

for you guys that consider a fountain DONT!

I am very dissapointed

jmeng 06-05-2009 11:29 AM

Have you talked to your dealer. Seems weird that it wouldn't be covered under warrenty. Good luck, hope you get it resolved.

Gladhe8er 06-05-2009 11:42 AM

What exactly is happenning with the gel coat?

If you read the warranty of most boat builders, Gel is excluded.

freshwaterfiend 06-05-2009 12:21 PM

A friend with a Ski Nautique had his gelcoat "bubble" around the waterline. They gave him a brand new boat to replace the old one. That's standing behind your product.

JIMKID Motorsports 06-05-2009 12:33 PM

That is fu ing insane thats like saying its covered if you dont put it in the water

Thats how a customer should be treated, swapping him out for a new one might be a little extreme but i bet he will buy another one and tell everyone he knows to buy that brand...

Sake 06-05-2009 12:39 PM

There are no bubbels the gelcoat is getting white, i do not know how to place photos on the forum so i could let you se the gelcoat, is there one of you that i can sendt the photos and place them for me?

rtaylor 06-05-2009 12:46 PM

Has the manufacturer or dealer offered anything at all for goodwill? I work for a major auto manufacturer and beyond warranty there is what we call a "goodwill" fund for customers who may not technically be covered under warranty but who, clearly, deserve to be treated the right way. The "right way" is a common sensical thing.

Here are some of Sake's boat. Too bad you are having problems...looks like a nice boat and it must rip with that 600! My brother has a 29 Fountain with a 525 massaged to 600+ HP.

I remember a big Donzi problem a few years back too.....

lucky strike 06-05-2009 02:14 PM

Did you try to wet sand it.?

Brad Zastrow 06-05-2009 03:12 PM

Have you tried to buffing the boat? That should come right out.

apache727 06-05-2009 03:56 PM

Gorgeous boat man! I'd go through your warranty paperwork from when you bought it. It should say what is or isn't covered

noyzee 06-05-2009 04:14 PM

thats to bad, you would thing reggie would do something. you should do your best to get intouch with reggie dirrect, or get someone close go there for you and bring it to his attention, i bet he would take care of it.
i own a busnes, if my secritery picked up on a custmer with an issue with my work and said it wasnt covered, i wouldnt even know, if that person came to me with a ligit issue, i would cover it just to save my name.

thats what i would do

Phazar454Mag 06-05-2009 04:44 PM

It looks like porosity, And the more you wet sand and buff it the more it will spered out and make it look worse then it dose now. Read the warranty and see how long "porosity" is coverd for.

Sake 06-05-2009 05:08 PM

I think you wil never hafe the monney to buy a boat like this.

My recemendation would be to get in contact with Craig Wilson. He runs Fountain Worldwide and can try and help you get things in the right direction. Boat is beautiful, hope they take care of you.

You know what dude that's not a very nice thing to say to a guy who just posted your boat.

LOL.....and it looks like he has a similar boat (formula 292) but with twins. :D

aTX427 06-05-2009 05:23 PM

I would contact your dealer. Hard to tell what is going on from the pictures, but if it is gelcote you can probably have it polished out. The problem with colored gel is that it fades like that. Most of the time, they will clear over the gel to slow the process down, but it is going to happen. Stirring sh$t up here is not going to help you make friends at the factory. Be patient and try to work it out. Fountain took care of some stress cracks on my boat when it was seven years old. Keep in mind that stress cracks are not covered and it was way out of warranty.

seafordguy 06-05-2009 05:26 PM

So, first you're pissed at Fountain, for building a shoddy boat, now you're pissed at Phazar for posting your shoddy boat for sale??

OH - I get it. You want your boat advertized just not in a thread where your trying to leverage the company into fixing it's flaws....NICE!!

45sonic 06-05-2009 05:52 PM

Try contacting Wyatt and see if he can point you in the right direction

TEAMBAJA 06-05-2009 06:25 PM

Glad I ran across this thread. Im defintely NEVER buying a Fountain now!

:party-smiley-004:

JayFan 06-05-2009 06:32 PM

That's too bad....Fountain puts out a awesome product, although I am very surprised that Reggie won't stand up behind his product????

niceguy 06-05-2009 06:33 PM

So.... the boat needs fixing. But it is also for sale with NO mention of the gel coat problems? Or was that a different boat for sale?

PhantomChaos 06-05-2009 06:38 PM

If he was standing up behind his product you probably wouldn't see him. :D :D
