Its a nice boat. Walked around it when I was down at Pier 57 at the beginning of the year. Go for it!!! I have always liked that boat!

I dont know if im ready to "go for it" just yet... But it does have some cool factor to it.. The thing I like about the canopies on the AMT's (and correct me if Im wrong here) is the back hatch opens up MUCH larger than the front. So if I were to remove the lids, Id be able to see behind me on our busy lake.. big plus..

I raced an OPEN AMT for a season. It was a great boat.
It was hell on the holeshot, but running an open boat in the rough against canopies put us at a disadvantage. Add that to my driving skills and you wind up last in a hurry.

I was in love with Tantrum's yellow and grey AMT 30' o/b. Nice guy, I picked his brain about o/b cats a while back. I believe he has since sold it. Beautiful boat. There were a few nice pictures kicking around....

A friend of mine has one up here in Washington with 300x motors. The thing is huge compared to my 28 Skater. It seems like a good boat and has a comparable ride to my Skater, probably a little better in bigger water because of its size. It is the open cockpit version. They are nice looking boats.
