wish I had the dough. I have been looking for a late 70's vintage inline 6 outboard for my Taylor restoration.

If anybody knows where I can get a regular inline 6 ouboard, I am interested.

Thanks

I went to many Pro Outboard races as a kid, our group ran German 4 cylinder Koenig D engines. The Merc F class engines were loop charged with six cast aluminum megaphones, awesome sound for 100mph+ hydro.

Loop-charge scavenging creates a circular flow for efficient removal of exhaust gas and even distribution of the air-fuel mixture. The result is greater combustion efficiency for higher power.

Are you refering to the Quincy in-line six stacker looper? Yes, they were the craziest in-lines running back then for sure & a rare bird.
