The t53 is a free wheeling Turbine
The N1 (gas producer) is completly independent.
The N2 is the power turbine.
The t53,s ouput shaft (n2) can be stopped at ground idle
for up to a minute.
About 12 years ago Ted McIntyre from MTT developed
a braking system to bolt to the output of the t53 then attached
a scs crashbox. This is the same technology used by most today.
This will keep you busy

If this boat does not run FNR gearboxes how does he manage t get counter rotation at the props?
I know the T58 has a reduction box which reduces the output shaft speed to around 6000 rpm but I am curious to how this thing is rigged.
