33 Powerplay in Boulder City, Nevada????
I just bought a 33PP with #4's on boxes and 540's. Does anybody know the boat??? It was owned by a heart surgeon out there.
I don't know the boat but...:worthless_without_p
send the pics to me [email protected] and I'll post them |
I dont have any pics right now, I deleted them from my email, and the guy took the ad offline once i wired the money. Ill try and get some though. I figured somebody would remember the boat cause there cant be too many PP's out west
also, if anybody is looking to ship anything, go to uship.com.....the trip from vegas to connecticut is 2800 miles and ive already gotten quotes of $2400 from two different shippers, which is about 86 cents a mile............
Congrats!!:ernaehrung004:
Welcome to the PP family. Look forward to the pics. Is this a race boat/6 pack? |
no its a pleasure boat with a full cabin, not my style, but hey i got a good deal, and ive never heard a bad thing about a 33PP. Pat sullivan at perf. marine in lauderdale is who really got me into PP's a couple years ago, and when i saw this boat i couldnt pass it up
You're going to love that hull in Long Island Sound, if you haven't been in one you'll be surprised. The LIS chop is perfect for that boat.
Here is the add. I emailed the guy but never got a reply. You got a great buy!

those are the pics that he sent me.........i finally got my boat running right, now i hope this thing isnt a basket case....
Looks pretty cool, good luck! Did you have it surveyed at least, so you know it should be dry?
Looks like a 96 or newer as the exhaust is below the rub rail? Mine also has a yellow bilge (but I have no other yellow on the boat). |
those are big hatches in the deck
yeah i would love to find the history of this boat because i dont think it has a standard PP deck on it, also those recessed rope things instead of cleats, i always see on race boats....
I hope the date on the camera is wrong. 05??

I would contact gary colby(?) from the race site and ask him about it.
So are you saying this was the ex B-61 boat?
I took my first ride in a 33 PP this spring. Awesome boat. it is on my list for when/if I go bigger. |
we dont know for sure, im trying to figure the history out
I am guessing, They mentioned rique ford built it or something like that. Look at the pics of the transom plate between the drives. Whatevever it's history , it's a pp with 4's.
It can't be the B-61 because that one was full stagger !!!
The plate on the transom is because of the SSM boxes are higher then the rubrail so they did not want to cutthe box they plated it to make up for the gap. Also the seats in the back and the sides don't looklike PP ,the door for the cabin also. The deck is a race deck and somebody mastered 2 old style hatches in it. The exhaust usually comes out above the rubrail on a 33 that year ,,,,,so something is fishy !? But who knows maybe the owner wanted it like that . I still take it if u sell it. |
Congrats! That was a steal.
Looks like a sweet ride. With those drives you don't ever have to get off the sticks! What speed did you get.

i havent run the boat yet, the guy claimed 95mph on a hot nevada day in fresh water.........
I've never seen it on Mead. Ad link doesn't work. Was it through a broker?
no
Looks like the stock deck and engine hatch .

Incorrect Either way, the 28's never had the hull raised I don't believe, and mine exits above the rail/swim platform but most 28's are below? So I believe they probably could do it either way regardless of the year. What's funny on mine is how TALL the risers are to get it to exit above the rail. |
i think over the winter i will change it to over the rail, it just makes me nervous having the tails sit that low, plus this thing is going to be a low rider with this set-up
