Default Recommendation Needed for 38' + offshore performance cc

Hello All:

I'm looking for a new boat and need a recommendation keeping the following in mind: QUALITY is the most important thing, cost is not an issue.

1) Leignth 38' to 45'

2) Center Console with cuddy (with AC).

3) Use: fishing and scuba diving (so a cut away on the starboard side is a big plus.

4) must be able to withstand extreme weather.

5) area of use: It will be making weekly runs from Manhattan NYC to the Hamptons via the Long Island sound or the Atlantic (weather dependent), the boat will be kept in Manhattan on the Hudson River most of the time.

6) Range is important and I'd like speeds at least equivalent to my Donzi 35 with a better range.

I have a Donzi 35 cc and am looking for a better, bigger, more custom version of that boat, Fountains are to narrow and the speed advantage is negligible for my purpose.

I would go used but no more then 2 years old, and I'd wait for something to be custom built.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

JT

It is also a wide beam boat. 10'6" I think? I have a Fountain 38 TE and love it.

Default Nor-Tech

Do yourself a favor and call Terry Sobo at Nor-Tech. Have him custom build you a new Nor-Tech CC.

Default Hull cut out

The Fountain looks nice its seems I had the wrong idea about there boats (never been on one), anyway is there a bigger option say 42'?

and what manufacturer can build a cut out (so I can exit the boat with full dive gear) without voiding the warranty and without compromising the structural integrity of the boat?

There's a builder in Miami that does nice work but they stop at 36' I think.

Thanks for the help,

JT

Intrepid boats have dive doors.

Try the 37 CC, 390 Sport Yacht, or 40 CC.
