He was a good man, and will be missed by all.
I think he had a ride in Supercat this year, He took my
40 to a victory in The Worlds, only to be taken away for
15 lbs.

In 2000, he won the American Powerboat World Championship, a title he had won twice before, said friend and teammate Joseph Imprescia of Babylon, N.Y. Steep also won the U.S. national champinship five times, Imprescia said. He is to be buried Tuesday in a family cemetary in Inez, Ky.,near his birthplace.

Hurly has been a good friend of mine since 1985. One of my heros! His list of accomplishments is beyond my wildest dreams. He has throttled every thing out there. Miss Gallo Wine, Mercury Racing/Miss Minneapolis/AME 4000, Dirty Laundry, Chairman of the Board, Ohio Steel just to name a few. Hurly is some one I looked to for alot of advice sine I began throttling in races, and he was always willing to talk. he would always help me if he could. I will truly miss him.
