Default Quick help about oil

Does anyone have any idea on where the dipstick should be to check oil on a chevy 468? Also where the oil fill should be? Thanks

Ok. Well there is a belt driven pulley that has a metal container with a cap tgat has a very short dip stick on it. Would this be the oil? It has a Carmel colored metal smelling liquid in it. Thanks

It wouldn't be drive fluid would it?

on my bbc it is on the other side of the engine(on the opposite side of the p.s.pump) between the water/separator filter for the fuel and the valve cover.

check this site for mercruiser recommendations:

or
personally I use Mobil v-twin but there are other similar products that may work well IE AMSOIL, Joe Gibbs Racing etc...
