If using the led underwater lights, is it illegal to run them at night when running down the lake? I would think it would be a plus, you would be more visible.

Lots of debate on this topic, although personally I dont see how blue or white would violate any color-regs.

Not sure that blue underwater lights are going to be a whole lot more visible that the white running light, but more visibility is better than less.

Green and red (reds a bad choice anyway) would obvioulsy be a no - no.

Not too long ago I did a 4 led lites on the transom of a 50" Nor Tech 50. The lites were a surface mount which made it very for installation. So there is no secret on installation. The single electrical boxes were installed on white starboard then mounted to the transon inside. The lead wires were pulled to the top of the transom then over to the starboard side of the boat and connected. Being in the south Fl waters, you do need to bond the lites which there is aa machine screw provided and second to keep the finish looking good for years to come, I suggest clear coating the brass housing to keep the looking nice since the boat does'nt live full time in the water. :coolcowboy:

Looking at doing 2 A6's on mine. What are the thoughts on mounting depth? I've heard at least 6" below the water line. Is 6 inches better than 10 inches? The shallower the better, the deeper the better?

Any thoughts on that?
Thanks
