Not yet. I'm trying to decide what I want to do for summer 2010. Right now, I have 1998 300 Promax's. I'm not even sure on the hours, but figure 500+ hours per motor.

I'm debating if I want to try for another summer with them vs. buying a new pair of 300XS's. My other thought was to have Eric Simon redo my 300 Promax's.

I don't think it makes sense to find a pair of 300X's. Everything is going to have a lot of hours on them and I'm looking for new motors if I spend the money. Plus, I've heard the XS's run similar to the X motors, plus you gain the fuel economy of the XS.

Personally, I would rebuild your 300 promax's....Eric Simon has a great package for that motor but its not cheap either. However, your right its going to be tough to find a set of 300x motors.

The 300xs are going to give you the better fuel economy, smart craft if you want it....but it wont run with a 300 promax. Depends on what you want. The XS's run closer to the 300 promax motors, the 300x motors are far superior from a performance only stand point.

Thanks Jay. I will.

I'm going out of town for the ten days, but I'll call when I get back.

Thanks again.

Agreed. My dad has a 300xs and it sips fuel.

Hmmm, my brother runs a Skater 30 w/twin 300XS's on it, and we get fantastic fuel mileage. He consistantly gets over 2 MPG when running wide open. (4 mpg per engine)

The 300XS's are excellent on fuel. Look for my new 32' available this spring with O/B or I/O power! Contact me personally to get the good buddy deal I am offering on the 1st 5 orders!
