There will be 6 checkpoints:
Checkpoints will be posted later
Stops will be from City Dock Downtown Chattanooga & Nick Jack Dam.
Drawing will be at Hales Bar Marina All hands must be turned in at final checkpoint
(Hales Bars) by 5:00 p.m. CST. Drawing will be at 7:00 p.m. CST. Dinner at 7:30 p.m.
Price for non-paticipants will $8.00 per person. There will a party following the poker

There is a great place to stay the nite at the marina on the water or they have lots of cabins

Not in Atlanta Powerboat Club. Just thinking about coming up for the run. Will the water conditions be similar to the Knoxville run?

You will be running mostly in a gorge from Chattanooga to about 5 miles above Nickajack Dam. The scenery is spectacular. One of the top scenic section on the Great Loop Cruise. The water is usually pretty smooth with exception of some cruiser wakes. I will do it in my X-18 any given day. I do the run a good bit but is usually to take the cruiser to downtown Chattanooga for dinner and drinks. I was actually heading there on the 24th but it sounds like I will stick around Hale's Bar!

I thought the scenery in Knoxville was outstanding. I was mostly thinking about depth and navigation. Never been on the river in the Chattanooga area. Sounds excellent. Now just have to get my boat back together.
