Come on over. You will be safe and sound on the ride in the Young Performance Donzi. The drive made it through another season so I won't be stomping on it hard until I get Eddie to go through it this winter. I may squeeze it a little but probably won't hold it open very long.

Nice! Hope you can make it up here. Care to share what upgrades you are doing?

I hope to be able to say the same thing next year on the drive thing !! Athough I most likely won't be making quite the power you are I'm pushing more hull surface so we'll see..

Last time I was over your way I heard you were going to put some longer tabs on ?? Did you get them on & did they help the handling out ??

Ahh, new engines are fun.

The training wheels were a worthwhile upgrade. They really settled it down. I went with 280 Kplanes.

There is a big bar that runs from the area in front of the marina to the barge that is moored up in the middle. Basically you should head towards the bridge and give the barge a nice wide berth when heading into the channel or you can put in and head toward the marina. When you leave the marina you should hug the docks in front of the floating cabins and then take a left into the marked channel that goes to the gas dock or you can head back toward the launch, go around the barge and then go back to the channel.

It is a little safer if you ask someone at the marina and they can point out where the bar runs.

DO NOT just leave the dock and head straight for the channel or put in at the ramp and head straight to the channel. You may find one of those rock piles that hangs around the bar.

Yeah there always fun, however as much as I really enjoy the process of a build I'm ready to finish it up & smell some smoke.. Glad to hear the tabs helped out.. That 26 has to motivate for a little boat !!

No joke on stay away from the rocks deal.. I just finished re-gelcoating the bottom of a sw flats fish boat for a customer of mine that ended up somewhere he didn't need to be on watts bar & hit some rocks at only around 20mph & tore the boat up pretty bad.. It also makes me think of riding in the Skater-V at just a shade past that 20mph mark (lol) passing huge logs with the occasional entire 40-50' tree floating down the river on hickory.. Ofcourse all while the madman at the wheel was trying to read a wideband & a laptop..haha..

Finish it up and go boating. Been there in that Skater. My 26 does run pretty good. I saw 103 when running with Thunder and Mean Streak on the 4th. Thunder ran 110 to get around me and Streak was back at 101. I think that Mean Streak may have been running at 60% power or something crazy like that. It is the longest I have held WFO. It is kind of like Mardis Gras. Fun to go there on occasion but not every weekend.

Chattanooga will be fun! It sounds like some cool boats will be around.

John who runs the knoxville run said he would spread the word

1 from Birmingham

1 or 2 from atlanta

You and I and maybe a couple more

We would like to clear the air about putting boats in around the Marina.

If you put in just before the marina you stay left until you get in the channel then go rite you can see the old dam

We will help give assistance as well as help with trailers that want to park at the marina. a boat will be in the water to help you with a slip

Call Gerald or Bobby at 423-593-5841 or 423-421-1011

If you want to play a hand $100 we can pic up your cards at the stops I think the drawing is around 6 or 7 pm :chill-pill:

chattviper 10-13-2009 02:43 PM

Thats pretty low Gerald! Why would he want to play a hand and not even be able to do the run? Isnt that like taking a girl on a date and having seth drive and pay for it? :lolhit:

No, I wasnt thinking like that Damit!

I know he likes to play cards. Thought we could pick up a hand for him. Hell, I will pay the $100 out of my pocket.

ZXXX Donzi 10-13-2009 10:07 PM

No, the put in is not a big deal. This time of the year the hydrilla gives a clue about the bar. It is really no big deal.

Tell Bobby I apologize for not stopping by last weekend. I ran into a little snag but will be there for the run.

Yes! that is what I thought. You can see were the line is out by the coca cola stage.

What do you think about putting in at TVA Property on the other side of the river were they use to have the color cruise?

I will talk to Bobby today and thats no big deal

There are 4 Boats from Nashville Registered

And 2 from chattanooga as of now.

Several people are coming just to play a hand for $100 which includes 2 T-shirts and dinner for 2 Bobby is going to have a DJ and fire built over at the Tike Hut

johnlomant 10-14-2009 07:17 AM

I may be coming the boat may be done in time. I have to check my work scedule to see if i can leave. What time is the poker run?

chattviper 10-14-2009 07:33 AM

Drivers meeting starts at 11:00eastern time..they are on central. Of course you know they never start on time. I would think around 12 or 1 would be actual start. try to make it! your boat will stand out for sure.

Mark
