The way we put it "It's like putting Pavoratti into a wetsuit..."

I bought one of them and the thing with focus and stability kept chasing itself. Also I had to get a chip for memory card for it and record on that cause the hard drive could not write on itself with the vibration. I tried turning all the compensating stuff off also and it still did'nt work, finally someone told me that the lense is on springs so even if all the compensation stuff was off the lens still sprung around like this at the end of the clip that was taken with that Sony Cam:

The only way it worked good was if someone held it like this;

and this;

So I went to the Contour deals since then and I am getting better results at least for a fixed mount point and forget type of Cam.

Yep....I agree that it probably wont' work in that way. Sorry my good man! I didn't have time to read the whole thread but the one I sent a link on is totally solid-state (flash). There is no hard-drive. Sounds like you got it all worked out! Fixed cam is great. The one I linked is great for everything else.....kids going down the slide.....it's a nice replacement for the 8mm movie cam my dad had. :)
