My guess it was a helio Search & Rescue. Either real, or practice.
I guess I'm the only OSO member who was looking into the black stormy night at midnight. Everyone else was no doubt doing something far more productive.

CG has been practicing a lot around Holland. Seen them a dozen times this season - those Dolpin 65's heli's lock gps and sit there at that exact position no matter what the conditions . Maybe 100ft up then they drop a guy in and another guy has to go down and hook them both up, then repeat again and again. They sit out there for 45min. some evenings. But 12 midnight......hmmm ..Saugatuck... hmmm
Or, it was one of the King Co.'s rig's looking for Saugatuck Light as they have the contract to do 3000ft of the channel walls in new steel. They were supposed to start work this week.
