How much are you looking to get out of your 700's? Are the drives going with them?

Working on a price for the motors, and waiting to see if I can use the nxt tranny and gimble with new motor options I'm looking at. Do you need the whole package?

The reason I ask is that I was under the impression that Mercury had designed the 700's to only hook up to the nxt tranny and gimbal.

If that's true, I think the market for those engines sold without the rest of drive package would be kind of limited.

and fwiw, I think Double R performance had a pair of used 700's (including tranny, gimbals and nxt drives) for sale earlier this spring. I think they were asking 85k or so for the pair vs 120K (wholesale) for two complete sets new.

That may be true if I go with merc 1075 package and I have Double R looking onto that for me right now. But if I go with Teague motors I might have more options and Bob is looking into that right now. Thanks for the input I need all the help I can get. I also saw that ad early this spring and that price was for each complete set, not both.

Good luck with the project.

As for the price on the 700 packages, the wholesale price on a complete 700 NXT package NEW is about 60K, give or take a few k. The 85K price for both pairs, complete.

Yes, that was with the NXT drive - not 6 drives. At the time they had them advertised for 90K but told me they would take 85k cash.
