Do you cut down every boat like that? Or are the raceboats just cut down to be low profile....?

Only the race boats get cut down to this extent.

I will be updating photo's today, rumor has it that the deck is fit and bulkheads are trimmed, and we will have an actual boat by the end of the day.

Wahoo ATV 10-22-2009 09:55 AM

Please post how you trim the deck to fit the narrower hull. Great thread. Thank you!

bobkatz 10-22-2009 10:50 AM

Narrowed and shorter.

By the way great thread, I love to see how everything is put together!

carcrash 10-22-2009 06:49 PM

Looks beautiful!

What was that first layer of yellowish stuff in the mold on the first day? Was that just gel coat, or also a thin layer of glass for surface finish?

animalhouse 10-22-2009 07:04 PM

Thanks, it is coming along well

that was a very thin layer of glass for the surface.

Awesome thread and thanks for sharing. Quick question in Post 99 there looks to be a canopied cat in the back ground. Is that the new Class 1 boat I have heard about?

Outer Limits

My son's performance shop just sold a 47' 2004 GTX and it is a beautiful, fast boat. I hated to see it go, but business comes first!
Here it is in action on the Lake of the Ozarks...
