what was the motor in the 93/94 ss pickup trucks they were black 2 wheel drive they were big blocks must of been 454. I thought the 502 was a truck block for the big trucks over 1 1/2 ton cargo, tow, flat bed trucks??

They use to put a 366 and 427 tall decks in the big trucks,
school buses etc.

The SS pickups were 454's

The truck you refer to is the 454SS. Produced from 1990-1993.
All 3 years had the TBI 454 motor. All were 2 wheel drive.

502 motor was ONLY a crate motor from GM, it was never installed in a production vehicle.

It was put in one offs and prototypes from GM, also Lingenfelter did a run of 4th generation Camaros with all aluminum 502s (shipped as new to lingenfelter then sold, like roush edition ford products) although there were very few of these.
