I have to say after looking at the 388 next to me in DryStack... its a nice boat. But i'm still all about Fountain for Speed and Handling.

Hustler's are built and rigged better than a Fountain! They are a custom boat builder as oppsed to the production numbers of Fountain. They have great styling unlike the TG which has basically been the same since the 80's. I like Cigarette, Fountain, and Hustler having owned all three. Also the new Rockit with 700's will run faster than a 39 Cig, and a 42 Fountain with 700's. All three are no Outerlimits though!

It was an ad...meant to get your attention. Looks like it worked. They took a shot at Ciggie. Hustler isn't the 1st manufacturer to take a shot at them, and probably won't be the last.

Skip is sitting back smiling at the free advertisement!
Everything is always compared to a Cigarette...That in itself is priceless!
I always liked the looks of Hustlers and thought they performed well. I didn't think the Slingshot cockpit was very ergonomically thought out well at all and seemed a bit chinsy to me.
And then there was the member on here who's boat basically fell apart when running back from Catalina in some big water. We were in a Tiger with 1000's and 6's, and the Hustler had 1000's and 6's. The crack down the hull kind've slowed him down though...He now owns a Top Gun.

Getting back to the Hustler the Mascara boat on Long Island ran close to 100 MPH a few years back in all kinds of water! Not too many cigerettes around that break the century mark! Also the few Hustlers that are out there seem to hold up pretty well!
