Yep...spend more than you should, hit a bump in the road, and things get ugly.

The real scarey part is we are all doing it. Many of us unaware. It's called the local/state/federal goverment!

There's much more to the story.

$$$ was/is not the real issue w GoldDigger.

Jayboat is 100% correct, $$ is not the issue with Golddigger and the fact that it has U.S Marshal stickers on it also has nothing to do with the past owner of the boat

Their are many boaters and businees people who don't practice this way of life, so to them I apologize, but for the one's who do practice this, 15 minutes of fame is not worth it. If you're making $350.000 a year and you have a $700.000 boat, somethings gotta give, but you looked awesome doing that fly- by past the beach.

made that exact mistake in my early 20's took me 10 yrs and 1 wife to get straighened out and....thank god that is one I wont have to learn again....

I got to agree that it sure looked like wrinkled vinyl this summer when I saw it but maybe it is just the paint peeling.

PURE SPECULATION ON MY PART!!!

outstanding balance 900k
Street Value ?????
Manufacturer of said hull willing to make better deals now due to a slowed economy...so can buy a new one for 800k, why would any one pay an extra 100 k for a pre-owned vessel

current owner makes a voluntary surrender with an offer to settle any discrepencies upon sale, bank finds out the hard way that the market has went south, or will incur additional attorney, storage, and brokerage fees and offers a short sale to current owner, or they think they know it all and end up losing more every day, when they should have taken the initial settlement offer...

PURE SPECULATION AND JUST A GUESS>>>>

I don't know but...

Couldn't the owner have traded it back to Lake Cumberland towards a new/different boat then it would have been part of the floor plan that went back to the bank from them...
