About 75 hours a year, thats probably normal, especially if in FL.

That is certainly a high number. Any way you can hook up a scanner and see where it has spent most of its running time?? If it is all mostly idle time, then no worries. If it is mostly 3500 and above I would be concerned.

Also give us more info on brand and model of the boat it is in.

Like Smitty said, get it scanned. When I scan my motor, it shows below 1500 rpms for 50% of the hours.

530 hours on an 8 year old boat is only 66.25 hours a year, very average for the age.

Is this a repo deal or does the seller have every book, service record since day one? If it is stock, with frequent fluid changes/service and reasonable scan history (not all WFO) then is it getting to the point of some maintenance but not a case of run away.....

i have 350 houres on my 2002 25 outlaw. runs like it was brand new. i dont think 520 hours is a big deal as long as it has been mantained.

Maybe for IL, not for FL. If it has that many hours and looks like new I would be willing to take a chance the previous owner took good care of it. But as stated scan the motor, it is possible on some baja's the hour meter is hooked up to ignition and not actually running time, so if the key is just turned the meter is moving, even if the motor is off.
