The purple Sunny...

This boat is great looking. I have not seen it in person in a few years but I did talk to the seller. I believe it is a low 60mph boat he(seller) thinks it just needs some prop tuning.

Was thinking the same thing.

Are you trying for a cabin or mid cabin open bow?

288 sunny - very good boat for everyday lakes/rivers. you will take a beating at loto.

28 checkmate - solid boat that can handle a loto beating but the sunny has better lines in my opinion.

28 apache - huge 28 footer. doesnt like smooth water. a blast in rough water. rare and will hold its value better then the rest. twins only. would be my choice.

I have a Powerquest 280 silencer. Super all round boat. Ride is great. Boat looks and performs excellent. You can get it with a fairing or windsheild. I made it a necesity when looking for a boat to have a windsheild because of the midwest weather. I try to extend the season a little bit. It is big enough to use on the big lake most of the time and small enough to trailer it wherever and whenever. I almost purchased a Velocity before this but I just could not fall in love with it. It is for sure the fastest hull out there for its size but the lines are just not to my liking. Checkmate was high on the list but insides are a little bit cramped. Never would consider a single engine fountain, baja is super nice just to many around. My PQ is turn key 74 gps. 496HO with pro charger. 140 hours. I would consider letting mine go for 40k if the boat I was looking at before is still available.

I did this exact same search earlier this year, and ended up in a 28 Powerplay. Great looking, great handling, fit/finish and will take the rough well. I'd sell you mine for 40 for sure, haha.

Personally my favorites for a 28 or less are the Pantera (I'd second Smarty's link above as far as I know of what's on the market now), AT or of course Powerplay.

What years are you looking for, as any of these 3 are gonna be 90's models.
