Tested a few props on the 30 Liberator today.
TEST 1. A friend of mine recently bought `the Spinelli prop business from Mr Spinelli. He sent me some 32"x15.5" four blade props to try out today. I took a few sets of props to try. The Spinellis had a hard time planing, but that was because they did'nt have vent holes. Ran 62 at 400 rpm, and 97.0 at 6200.
TEST 2. Next I ran my 15"x32" Bravo props. They also ran 62 at 4000 rpm and 97.0 at 6000.
TEST 3. Next I ran some 32"x15" 3 blade cleavers. They ran 96.8 at 6050 rpm.
TEST 4. Last, I ran a pair of stock 14.5"x32" Lightning ET's. These slipped alot and ran 53 at 4000 rpm. They were the best on top end. I had to trim them down to keep them off the limiter. I also ran out of lake while still climbing. Lake is 1.3 miles long. Ran 98.5 mph. I think I could hit 100 with some 34 ET's. These were not labbed either.
Boat had zero hop at every speed, and the water was like a mirror. Not bad for a big ole boat with a cabin!
HERE'S A SHORT VIDEO BEFORE MY CAMERA BATTERY DIED.
