Update:

Dustin has decided to try the 4.0 supercharger on the motor before doing the cam swap. He just wants to see what we can do with the motor without going internal.
Should be ready for some more dyno passes by mid to end of next week.

Have you seen the oil filters on the Merc. 700 Stock They are a lot bigger than the 600

Are you going to try to re-prop and bring the RPMS down.
According to the whipple people that makes the motors go longer before a refresh. If so were are you hoping to be with the rpms at the end of the project.

What do you think you boost will be when your done.

Did you say What Kind of drives your running?

The reason I am asking so many questions a friend of mine has suggested that I do and upgrade to my motors.

chris did you put many hour on the boat with the stage 1 or stage 2 before you pulled it out? if so what was the speed at the 2 differant stages and at what rpm do you run in the boat

Correct... the motor made 700hp with only the PCM re-program & water re-route. No other mods of any kind.

You do not want to pull the water off the sea-strainer... Dustin has the correct parts in his kits to re-route the innercooler water... very easy mods.

The oil filter on my 600sci is the same filter as on the 700sci.

I will prop the boat for peak horsepower. Stage II is 5850rpm. This is only 450 rpm over stock, and only aproximately 7.5 more rpm per second than stock.
I rarely hold the engine at peak rpm for long periods of time. Most of my boating is done between 2000 and 4000 rpm.

I am GUESSING boost will be in the 8-10 lb range.

I am now running an IMCO SCX drive with a SC lower unit.

I put aproximately 30+ hours on the boat with the stage II. I had no problems with it . I never ran it with just the stage I. The boat picked up 10+ mph. Stock my boat ran 80-81mph consistantly with a best of 82.6, now it runs 91-92 mph consistantly, with a best of 93.3 mph.

10-12 lbs of boost. Compression ration on the motor is only 7.5 to 1.
