Agreed, the rescue crew looked like rookies . Not sure if it would have made a difference though, looks like the canopy failed and the impact drove their helmets straight down , compressing and most likely fracturing their cervical spines, which if severe (looked like it) can shut down the respiratory center. (wouldn't be able to breathe) (Like Dale Earnhardt)

Is it time to mandate full faces and hans devices? To "reduce" severe injury?

I like the hans device idea, however full time air without a full face might make rescue easier. None of these will help though unless canopy/capsule construction technology improves

Its very sad indeed.Weather rescue crews were on the scene fast enough or not-theres alot to be learned (as always) with a tragic accident.I see from the video that they had no full time air which is shocking to me and also see that they looked very loose in there seats and/or restraints.
