A friend had a '95-'96ish (single small step) 42' Fountain with triple 525SC's, the 454's with blowers. It was a low-mid 90's boat every day.

Triple engine Hustler I was in broke century mark also with decent power from merc/bravo

I was in a trip 650/XR 40' we ran over 100 in 3-4s.

I sold the boat at the end of the season. I thought it was a scam when a guy emails me and says his boss is flying him up the next day to buy it.
I get a Travelocity confirmation same afternoon! Guy is a captain of thie boat/yacht in FL. He was sent by woman who wants to but the boat as a surprise birthday gift to her husband. Guy shows up next day. looks it over 15 min. Calls her. Money wired same day. Truck comes to get it next day!
I agree with the 1000's at 105 mark. Mine had 900's (with wet #6's) tamed to run on 91 oct. at 7.3 comp ratio. There was room for more HP if you wanted it. 900's ran below the 100 mark. Best running and riding boat I have EVER been on in 20 yrs. Was heavy at 1200lbs dry.
Here is the day I sold it and the truck had to be pulled out by my truck. and he towed it ( with a 460ci )from OH to south FL!!

FYI the record was set at 123mph with a pair of 1400's Troy Dennis experimental motors

Yeah, Thats my buddy's 97 with 525SC's

but in 97 they were stepped correct? I think the fiirst step 42's were 95...

Shogren has one that has been stripped of power, but it looks like it had speeds in a staggered set up...and has a blower hatch...anyone have any info??? in regards to what it had for power and drives?
