He was funny for a while, but it got old and then he went over the top. I vote NO

I have been on OSO for almost 10 years. It has always been a great source of information. I "enjoy" reading all the various posts, on a variety of subjects, and I followed Bill's adventure with his engine and all the pages devoted to both sides of the issues, he encountered. His responses, to say the least, were sometimes hard to follow, but none the less were interesting as were those from his detractors. If he was "banned" for being quite "vocal" about his experience with the Az. engine builder, I find that quite disturbing. He, along with Daredevil, have been a great source of information. You may not always agree with what they say, but if you don't like it, don't read it. I, for one, would like to see both back on OSO.

I would like to know exactly why he was banned. If he really did something wrong, then he got what he deserved. If not, then why?

I'm not sure but I think something got out of hand and threats were made.....threats are not toloerated on OSO. But.....I could be all wet about that!

Members only deserve to be banned if they've been warned several times about what they've supposedly done.

I've seen this place protect the bad people in the past, and ban the good people for advising others of those bad people.

On the other hand, since you people pay to be on this site, you should be able to do anything or say anything.

I had problems with Trick Marine and everyone jump my as* because Fred was such a good ole boy..Look how that turned out,,I know I saved several members time and money!!
The fact was Bills engines burnt pistons within a few hours of run time after spending lots of green!! Don't have anything againest the engine builder things happen but I do put myself in the shoes of the customer that had the problems corrected and as far has I know the boat is still running..I never posted on any of the threads but seems like both sides had issues. Is this a BIG BOYS SITE or Obamas PC nation. Just My 2 :drink:

I can see from this thread Bill had at least 5 friends on here. I can tell you it wasn't from talking bad about the one AZ engine builder, it was talking bad about several. Anybody notice a trend here?? Anyone he had dealings with he has a problem with, it was never his problem....:lolhit:

Neither Runninhot or Daredevil are on a permanent ban. Both are on time outs but I have no idea how long the time outs are for. I dont know any details other than other members were CONSTANTLY reporting posts that they made..... They wouldnt be on time outs if there wasnt any merit to the complaints :bunny:

Runninhot posts were mostly entertaining. And, isn't that why we are here? He needs to come back, he's part of the family.

I'm not a "fan" of either Runninghot nor Daredevil, I'm just in favor of a good discussion of marine related issues and companies serving our passion. Daredevil is opinionated and is not afraid to express that. You may not agree with him, but, as I stated before, I defend his right to his opinion. Bill had "issues" with a shop in Az and one in Ill. There has to be 2 sides to each "issue" and it always helps to hear both. I believe that we heard both sides from Bill and it is up to you to make up your own mind, whose side you are on.

All I did was say that he could be found on serious offshore. Some one was trying to find Bill and rather than getting into a pissing match about why he was banned or whatever, I gave a solution so the person could find the individual they were trying to locate.

Can you show me in the rules what rule I broke to justify deleting my post?

Both of these guys are also having issues over on Serious as well. Posts that have been deleted by the mods and warnings. Rumor is that daredevil is on timeout there as well. It is OK to have opinions in this country until they turn into slander and liable then there are laws and rules. What some people find entertaining can be harmful to others.

Anyone that needs to contact either one of these guys ( Bill or Scott) pm me, and I have their contact #'s.
