3 years? Lets not exagerate quite so much. Its been about a year now and something this big and with all the new technology it features, takes some time to develop. As for belt issues, 99% of them are from incorrect setups. You ever see how many belt issues customers with PSI's have when they try to make power? Almost all had to go to kevlar belts. Ask any drag racer how belts live with there PSI's.

:bsflag:

Pure P sure loses alot of belts ,and thats surely not an incorrect set-up being built & maintained with an open checkbook :coolcowboy: and it was 3 years you were looking for $$$$ coin to continue with the developement ..

and i'd take a Kevlar belt & a PSI and finish a run, then keep throwing belts and snout problems on the whirple ..

Its nice to see facts other than just opinions. Is there anyone from PSI on oso?

They aren't on the marine sites.... yet. They are pretty excited about their products being on the fastest pleasure cat and pleasure vee @ loto this year. They are on www.insidetopalcohol.com from time to time. Here is a link to their site. http://www.psisuperchargers.com/news.html Their blowers get used on everything from top fuel, top alcohol, pro mod, tractor pullers, etc....

I also agree with fountain42. I have not had any experience with the Whipples but I did run a pair of PSI's for over 10 years on my 38 Cigarette with absolutely no trouble. No bearing failure nor throwing any belts, just outstanding performance and reliability.

You forgot to mention that the intercoolers "someone" built for you over 10yrs ago are still running and they don't leak/burn up! :drink: See ya around Gary!

My Whipples work great!! Belts lasted all season last year. Put new ones on this year and all good. Need to run them really floppy when cold so they arent running tight when the motors grow when warmed up. Simple but overlooked by some.

You clearly are mistaken, do you know how many hours PP puts on his boat? More than most. Think what you want, sticking with old technology will only get you so far. Ask anyone who has done testing back to back, test the air charge temps, put 8 wide bands on it and let me know what you find. The new sc will change drag racing.

all i can say is i bought a boat last fall with very low hours it has wipple sidemounts the setup is like brand new but when i call whipple for parts or customer support i've got a better chance of talking to god!!!!

Is there really a comparison? Here's the 10.5 and 12.0 liter SC. Light years ahead of anything out there.
