Your using the worng gasket. BB Chevy Felpro has 8 different intake gaskets. Look in the book they list one for those heads.

I use a custom made graphite with a stainless steel core, not some paper gasket that wicks water. If I can help further feel free to contact me.

i have had good luck with the Hardin marine nitrile intake gaskets, no metal core so you can gasket match real easy, they stay in place, wont move, they look like they have a sticky type coating on both sides ,dont wick water like a paper gasket, and they make about 4 or 5 different types for big block chevy heads with and without upper bolts .

Use a 1275S-3 , It has a steel core and won't "squirm" out on you.
