Default Best way to get from Miami to Key West?

We'll be at the Miami Boat Show this year (very excited) and will be going to Key West afterwards from Feb 13-16. What is the best way of getting there that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

We've driven before but that was slow and boring. We were set on taking the ferry but it doesn't run anymore.

Alternatively, if anyone is heading in that direction and has room for 2 people, we have beer and gas money!

Thanks,

Rob

Best is by a great boat at speed! Second best is by car, make sure you stop at all the great haunts along the way down! Their are some awesome great places to see, hoist a few at and YAH, maybe even eat conch fritters now and then!
Third is by plane and its pretty expensive and you don't get to expierence the Keys!

Have one at Captn' Tonys for me!

Best Regards,
Ray @ Raylar

You can't beat the drive. It is relatively short & like others have said the stops along the way make it fun.
There is the MM69 sign to stop at, Tiki Bar, Hog Fish, all the Key Lime pie places, etc.
You can rent a car for a month for what it costs to fly commercially to KW from Miami.

From Miami, driving will be the fastest and cheapest. Flying is nice bu by the time you wait at the airport get loaded and get to your location by taxi or what have once thee you might as well have driven

Really, cause when we went for the races, it was only a $100 upcharge to add the flight to KW?

Is it different when you originate in Miami or Ft Lauderdale?

Boat if it's windy and nasty go inside, nice go outside, if you dont have a boat or cant hitch a ride rent a convertible and drive it.
