Has anyone heard anything about an insurance firm called Markel. I think its the correct spelling. I need insurance and heard they have decent rates but they are out of state and I'm a little reluctant to deal with a company strictly over the phone. If anyone can recommend other companies I would appreciate it. I'm in Jersey.

I go with Markel at the time and for the year..again. It depends on what type of boat you have as to which company you can go with. Only 2 companies do "cats". But they just came back with my renewal price and I was very happy. All insurances are going up...mine didn't go up as much as I thought it would.
When you say markel...are you dealing with them direct?
