I notice a lot of folks in bathing suits but no one in the water. What is the water temp this time of year?

I went in the water a couple times on Saturday! YES it was Refreshing! Felt good though. I have pictures but don't know how to upload them.?

We are planing on Heading up to the lake from NYC hudson river. Where is a good place to stay overnight on the lake. We don't want to go more than half up the lake.
