Cat's Luck
He's lucky that I'm in a good mood and not picking on him.I found out that that he is having some problems at home since his wife called him and asked him to bring home a bucket of mud because the their roof was leaking.

Where did it really come from??
HotPursuit:
Question?
How or where did you confirm the new Merc 1350 is made from a Mercedes AMG block?
I'd like to know the truth on this new engines heritage and formation.
Best Regards,
Ray @ Raylar

+1 Not looking to call you out,............How ever if true it would not surprise me a whole lot.
I did read some where that it was designed outside the country to keep it secrete.
Anyways additional info would be great.
Thanks

Its as Merc as the Verado outboard....
they did it themselves.
There are a few companies that could design and build this overseas such as Ricardo etc. but I dont think they did.
Merc knows how to build stuff like this..remember the 32v in the Corvette
( OK Cosworth helped with the Verado)

No Mention of Mercedes Here
Direct quote from Fred Kiekhaefer "...designed and developed in house..." from video of the 1350's grand unveiling at the Miami Boatshow and posted on the Mercury Racing website. He says that at about the 4:25 point in the video.
I wonder how long 'til we get some first hand driving impressions?
