Hudson River Fun Run May 15th 2010
 

Here is the plan
Meet at the Hudson Water club (www.hudsonwaterclub.com) at 10 am. Leave there at 11am and head South to NYC, Statue of Liberty and head out of the Harbor to the Ocean. (Depending upon Weather and Water Conditions). From there, we will head back up to the Hudson Water Club for lunch where there will be a band on the outdoor patio and the restaurant will be expecting us and all attendees. Later on lets go boating again, somewhere around 3-4pm we can head back out onto the river and head up to the Bear Mtn Bridge or possibly the Newburgh Beacon depending upon what time we leave. Once we are done, we can trailer over to the Hudson Water Club once again and have dinner and some shop talk.
Tim Sharkey will be taking photos and Will from Heavy Metal Concepts will be taking video.
Fuel can be obtained at Liberty Landing near the Statue of Liberty or at Panco near the restaurant.

Launching:
Launching can be done at the Cannonball Yacht Club for $25 per vessel. They are able to accommodate all vessels. GLH with Drambuie on Ice was able to launch last year without an issue. The physical address is 29 Hudson Dr Stony Point NY 10980.
Please give me a head count so I can make sure we have ample seating.

is thier a size limit i no the hudson can be pretty rough sometimes i have a 1988 21ft cc sunrunner with a 410hp saris small block usally i stick to the ct river and long island sound

This is just a respectful gathering of boaters getting together to boat together on the Hudson River. Basically run what you brung or what you feel safe in.

I ran my Bullet 130 2 years in a row in the NPBA NY Hudson River Poker Run.
I do know how bad that river can get... :eek:

Gonna try and sneak away from diaper duty in the next couple weeks to go for a test drive and break in the fresh engine.

Since the weather is always so unpredictable I figured I'd wait until late this week to check the forecast and I like what I'm seeing!!!

Saturday: Abundant sunshine with a high near 72. Northwest wind between 11 and 17 mph. :)

Last year I was driving in down pouring rain at 5 AM to get to this Run.

Those that didn't keep getting ready for the Run because of the forecast really missed out. The forecast last year was Thunderstorms . Guess what ? They never came and the sun came out !
People were making the last minute dash to the ramps while we were enjoying our lunch stop with still a very good turn out! :drink:
