If they are building a dock, that would be sweet. Right near my yacht club. Hows the food there?

My favorite is Short Beach just inside of Jones Inlet..... You enter the inlet and heading east it is right next to the coast gaurd station on your right. Barbecue's, docks, swimming, bathrooms, and only $8.00 to dock for the day...... plus you are only a 2 minute ride to the Nautical mile (Bracco's, the new Hurricane Harry's and numerous other restaurants). Or 10 minutes to Paddy McGees which is a nice restaurant that gets packed and loud on Sunday evenings......

Two more nice spots are Tobay and Cedar Beaches..... these are further east on the state channel..... more ammenities then short beach, but you are supossed to be a resident of the towns to dock on the weekends but anyone can dock on weekdays....... sometimes they let you stay on quiet weekends.

This is purely speculation. I have not been to Nautical mile in a while to know for sure. I will take a guess and say that Hurricane Harry's MAY have taken that abandoned place just South of The Landshark.
At least I hope so. That place looked real bad just sitting there empty.

Cool, new place to go to!!!

I was looking at the address and it looks like it's a little further down the canal than Bracco's???

I love Bracco's but I usually arrive with a fleet of at least a half dozen go-fasts ranging 30'-51'... and dockage gets a lil tight.

I was thinking the same thing Vinny........

Frank...... Looking on Google Maps it doesn't seem to be all that much better for slips but we'll have to wait and see..... Also I don't know if you know it but there are public docks just west of the gas dock at the tip of the Nautical Mile and some more half way down..... I usually don't bother with them though..... Half the fun in going to Bracco's is when you fire the engines up and scare the s**t out of the people eating on the deck......lol..lol......
