I am glad you brought this up because the bolts that hold down the cover on mine were stripped out. Some one put on Stainless nuts and they corroded out. I used a tap to get through the season but want to fix it correctly. Looks like you can still get the parts so that is cool!

I think I have a parts breakdown for them, will check when I get to the office..

Audiofn 04-06-2010 08:02 AM

That would be great Scott. They sure are proud of the parts on those things! They get I think it was 25 bucks a bolt for those things! The threaded rods that hold the glass up they show as over 100 bucks..

Scott B 04-06-2010 10:38 AM

Working on it now. Requested a breakdown on the first unit linked to, in a 1.25" size. Breakdown on Perko's site only lists the basics, handle, sleeve etc. I'll post what I get.

Audio, yours the same style? If not, go to Perko.com, type strainer in search and let me kow which one you have please.

Sick Stinger 04-06-2010 03:31 PM

6" top to bottom

Same size?? Where do we get the damn things??

I am pretty sure that I have the flushing because I have a inlet from the flush system on the boat to the top of the strainer.

Scott B 04-07-2010 05:12 PM

I'll email in the info to my vendor, see if they can help. Was a tad out of pocket today, saw your emails but could not respond. Hopefully I'll have some answers tomorrow..

Sick Stinger 04-07-2010 05:25 PM

PM me the details. lets do this. Its starting to really put a hitch in the giddyup....blowing water everywhere and all.

Sick Stinger 04-08-2010 05:12 PM

PM is full

apppedigree 04-08-2010 07:13 PM

Empty now.

NASCAT 04-09-2010 07:06 AM

Is there anything special about the posts that one couldn't just use stainless threaded rod?? You probably can purchase threaded rod by the foot from McMaster Carr.

Scott B 04-14-2010 04:05 PM

Well, so far I have been told the tie rods come as a set of four for the 400 series strainer, but are sold individually for the 500 series, yet the price is the same, and the 400 series come as a set only. And the BOTH use the same part number...

Not to mention the list on the set is 163 bucks?? When I pointed that out, they went back to the books to see if I could get a real answer..

Audio, I still have no idea which model yours is. I sent the other guys some breakdowns, maybe with that you can find yours??
