any one know fuel burn on a 30 ft twin sport boat

I own twin 2004 2.5 efi (280 HP each) on a 4500 lbs boat and I can tell you that they use a lot more gas than my 32' sunsation 7000lbs += with twin 496 HO (425 HP each)

Hi!

I have two Merc 2.5 EFI SS 280 hp engines with PCU's which helps a lot on the fuel consumption. I use approx. 75 litre / 20 gallon per hour running 4,000 rpms at 52 mph. My boat is 25 feet offshore hull with weight of approx. 3,000 lbs. When I ran a single Promax 300 3 litre the fuel consumption was 55 litre / 15 gallon an hour at the same speed and rpm. So I am pleased with the two Merc's, although Brucato PCU is vital for these numbers.
