we are running 8 lbs boost on the pump gas setting and 15 lbs boost on the race gas setting. Then for the shootout we will try to break the needle off the boost gauge.
We machined a step inside the fitting so the potting material cannot be pushed out, it should handle more then 100 psi and I don't want to be in the boat if it ever goes that high or really fun for a very short period...... Do you have a ballpark hp for each of the two settings? What compression are ya running? Thanks Jon |

Thanks Jon well pretty much all the twin turbo big cuin engines we have done made close to double there naturally aspirated hp at one atmosphere of pressure.. So the pump gas will be 1/2 atmosphere should be around 1260 hp and the race fuel setting should be around 1680 hp and the shoutout setting will be two atmosphere. |

Should be intersting to say the least in the Skater. Now that you have a proven transmission, are you going to get your Apache Cat up and running? What RPM do you spin for 840 hp NA, and did you still blow though the Turbo Housings or just straight out the headers? Jon |
Nice! Arnesons on that skater? I noticed it doesnt have a notch on the transom

840 hp
but we did not turn them high rpm because it doesn't matter what it made we just wanted to have a base line to start with. Any detonation control on it?? |

What electronics are you guys running to control fuel , timing? Electromotive,ACCEl??
Any detonation control on it?? it has all kinds of detonation control with 8 different knock inputs with variable gain control on each one. but we will not have any knock sensors on the engine because we know how to tune it right so we wont need any.. |

we turned them 6500 rpm and yes they were blowing through the turbos,, Cool, always like that boat, sure as always your engines will be pretty nice in there. Pretty good HP numbers to, ....with basically a cork in the exhaust :drink: I say cork cause your not using the compressor at that point. When are you hoping to start water testing the skater? How many cubic inch are ya running per engine? Thanks jon |
the boat is in paint at skater.. the engines are 632 cuin
