VERY nice!
Have been looking at them hard myself.
I know the CAT is the way to go but are the Cummins that much less power or what?

I bought my F250 from Mat, I met his guys half way in MD at my cousin's house then drove it back to my home in CT. The transaction took about 10 minutes, couldn't have been easier. It's not as cool at the truck in post #11 but it does me fine.

The CAT makes 300hp/860 torque in stock form. It can be raised to 330/960 for a $5000 upcharge. The Cummins makes 350/650 in stock form. For $5000 it can be raised to over 500/1000. Both engines are very capable of towing heavy loads and are made in America, so take your pick...but my truck has the Cummins so I would pick that one.

I would like to see the Mercedes 12.8L that makes 450hp/1650torque as an option for these trucks. One of our members from Louisiana has a Freightliner P2 with that motor towing a 40' Skater. I doubt he knows the boat is even back there with that much power...

the down side with the cummins is you have to rev the piss out of it to make the power.........

Yes that's the only negative, that the 350hp doesn't hit until 2800rpms or so, but the upside is you can't hurt a Cummins revving it.

BTW shouldn't this thread be in the trucks and trailers forum??

We do the F150 headlights. The lights are cheap, about $150-200 depending on which ones you pick. The labor however is about $2,000. It takes a while to do but sure looks good when finished.

The 08 mirrors are easy bolt on. You do have to wire up the marker lights but that isn't hard either.
