What is your opinion on this boat?
Overall it does not look that bad

Has new paint, rebuilt Bravo one last year, rebuilt engine last year, new gimbal ring, swivel shaft, bellows boots, shifter and throttle cables, (although retarded quicksilver shifter BLAH that is going in the garbage quick)
Engine compartment needs a big splash of chrome and mirrors, the bolsters need some vinyl repair work,
All in all, for 10 grand (might try to chew him down to 9500)
I dont think it is that bad
Have to take a rubber mallet with me and bang on the hull and listen for any broken fiberglass or separated stringers if possible (tough to do on roller trailer)

Overall it seems okay, no it is not an outerlimits, nor a cig but hey for 10 grand and my friends first real boat (not is 14 ft aluminum 9.9 hp fishing boat) seems to be okay from pics, truth will be told in Mass Tomorrow
He is so pumped up,
Just like me, when I got my baby
Let me know what you think from the pics as an observation
Thanks
Jason

Jay, I have the Baja in the water up here. I had it sold as of Saturday but the buyer had some trouble with financing and backed out.

I`m about 3 hrs noth of Boston and if you want to criuse further north, I`ll take you guys for a ride in the Baja.

I sent the carbs for the Cigarette out to Nickerson Performance to be set up for running up here.

If you make it up give me a call at 207-232-9273

Kurt.

Hey playn, sure you dont want to sell your 250 for about 10 g's ?
It is so clean you can lick the intake manifold and only taste horsepower

Well the guy has the title so i would assume that the boat is paid off or we would have to go through hoops to get the title and so on.
How do you check if there is a lien on a boat?
who would put a lean on a 88 IMP?

Jason
Thanks for the compliment! Gotta pass on the 10 G's though

Word of caution..Don't allow your friends emotions cloud his judgement on this. It happens way too often. If this one isn't exactly what he is looking for..there are or will be others out there.

Just because he has the title doesn't mean there isn't a lien filed against the boat. The only sure way is to get all the numbers off the boat and title and have a search done. I ASSume you are putting the boat in the water for a test drive???? Take it slow and easy ... there are thousands of boats for sale ...

Well the trip never happened
Friday he was scrambling for the loan place to get the check to him for the finance amount and they failed.
(always someone else's screw up)
Anyway, We decided to get things right, got the hitch in stalled on his truck after a painful 2 hour wait in line at the gay Uhaul place around the corner.
Got that done, got a ball and ball mount. so now he can tow his own boat home if possible and no need to take the F350 up there.
Since we are waiting on the check from the loan company, he is fuming but will have to wait another week.

Sunday morning about 4 am is when we plan on leaving PA and heading up north.
Kurt, I would LOVE to believe me but I dont know if it is in the cards since boston is about 6 hrs from here, and I have to work on Monday and getting married the 11th of May and lots to do.
I sincerely thank you for the offer and I hope I can take a rain check and maybe later this summer, take a weekend and cruise up the east coast.

Sounds like the cig is coming along, that is great, good luck with it and have fun with it.

Ill keep everyone posted on the travels of Russ and Jay
Thanks
Jason

Owner said something about a small blister in the hull?
Is that from improper layup or just degrading fiberglass?
Whats the fix for it?
