Sorry Jim, but you are a couple days too late with your time !! I know you are in a different time zone but we arrived ( the first time LOL ) in Nassau at 4:20 PM on Saturday. 1bagger guessed 4 PM so looks like he won.
Yes, being safe is number one. We never felt unsafe at any time since we left. Boat is now put away until we return late next week. I am now back in Toronto and looking forward to continuing the trip / adventure.

Team Turks and Caicos
We left G'town this morning at 10 AM and arrived at T + C at 3:30 PM. Ran low 50's the entire 290 miles, non stop. Waters were incredibly smooth the entire way. Some nice soft rollers in exposed areas, and had a fun ride. I will try and post a picture of the track spot left later or can be seen by clicking on the link in post # 1. There is a very dangerous reef to cross outside Turtle Cove Marina at T + C. The cruising guide I have said that they would send a guide boat out to take us in if hailed on VHF 16 and sure enough they showed up after a fifteen minute wait. It is very zig zaggy and no way could we have crossed it without the guide. We are now half way to the BVI. We will take it easy here tomorrow, do a little exploring and head for Dominican Republic on Monday.
Should be able to get some pics posted up later. Looking forward to Jay's pics again. Awesome stuff.

As evidenced by these photos Jay has been a great help ! LOL If he is not sleeping he is sitting there watching me work. Then he crushes my $10 deck chair ! LOL Actually it is a pleasure having Jay along. I am trying to rent a helicopter to get some aerial shots of T & C so will see how that works out.
Last pic is Customs officer in his official uniform of the Islands.
In pic 1 note how flat the seas are. That was half way across the 130 mile open water stretch between Acklands Island and T & C.

Got a few new ones here. As Bob said, the seas were very co-operative. It was actually GLASSY in some spots. The ocean gods are smiling on us this week.
About 30 miles out of Exuma:

Nicely lit sportfisher at the dock
Very tricky path across the reef, we needed a guide boat to get us in.

In pic 1 of the last group of Jays pics you will notice that the color of the sky is turquoise. That is the reflection of the turquoise waters on the bank near Exuma. The colors down here are just awesome.
Looks like there will not be any helicopter pics from here at least. It has gone back to British Columbia for the summer. A Canadian company.

That castle rock pic is post card quality. Keep the pics coming. I was checking out that reef on google earth last night good thing they send an escort out for you because that thing looks super tricky.
