lol . . . i was wondering what that was about. I saw some of your posts on a different thread and i thought it was an expression like using all caps for yelling. Thought it was like a pause between each word like when your trying to drive a point across
Great pics Jay! Looks like a hellof'a way to cruise

Party Central for sure that weekend
I agree with you about the cool people there ,, all over the island
I would drive the back roads thru the sugar cane fields from San German to my place in Boqueron on the beach and find these tiny buildings made from shipping containers that were local bars and stop for a cold Medalla beer and just get talking to the folks there
It was nice time in my life.
Enjoy your trip there,, I'll be going later on during the summer for a few weeks.
Thank you
Jim

Wednesday ( I think ! )
Today we had a slow start but that was fine as we were not planning on going anywhere. After breakfast on the square downtown, Jay and I headed over to the US Customs house to complete the paperwork for arrival and also for departure tomorrow to save time. Time means nothing on these Islands. It would normally drive me nuts but I made up my mind going into the trip that I would just roll with things and not let my blood boil. Customs took almost 2 hrs which can probably be done in 20 minutes but that is just the way it is. From there it was over to Pep Boys for various types of oils. During the morning I got a call from Julian ( OSO JCG ) and said his dad ( also Julian ) had a trusted mechanic on standby for our arrival at the marina. I can't thank Julian enough for hooking us up with a great mechanic ( Luis santos ) that not only took care of our steering issues but went thru the engine compartment thoroughly and took care of a number of other items for me. Great guys and very reasonable I thought with their pricing. As well Jochii Becerra helped with topping up fluids, taking us shopping, ice, helping me plot a protected and scenic route thru the US Virgin Islands to BVI. On arrival in BVI we will clear Customs at Sopers Hole in the West End and then head over to see OSO Expat at Saba Rock Resort. I am really looking forward to the next few days in BVI.
Must run now. I am treating Jay and the Julians to a nice dinner tonight at Lola's.

Few pics
Pic 1 is Jay and I having dinner this evening at Lola's in downtown Ponce, PR with Julian Sr and Jr. ( OSO JCG ) They were a great help to us today and much appreciated. They are picking us up at the hotel in the morning to take us to the marina and see us off. We will likely see them next at the BVI ( Liverick Bay ) poker run on Sunday. Should be on the water by 10 AM. Only 140 miles to Tortola so should be thee by early afternoon.
The other 2 pics are the Casino back at Ocean world marina, Puerto Plata, DR.
