CONTEST:Guess my Engine Dyno HP & WIN an Engine Alignment Tool
Gellner Engineering is just about done building my engine and should be going on the dyno Tues (May, 11th).
I figured I would run a little contest(hope this works). Throw out your peak HP number FIRST in your response(easier to go thru afterwards) or you will not be counted. I will take numbers till the results are in, one number each please. Closest WITHOUT going over will win a new Bravo/Alpha engine Alignment Tool and I will pay for the shipping to(USA 48 states only). For a tie I have a fair tiebreaker idea if needed. Hint: This engine build was just to put a reliable engine together and nothing crazy like some of you guys have. Here is the engine stats: 547 CI stroker engine. Naturally aspirated 10-1 Compression World Merlin aluminum heads, bowls pocket ported. 850 Holley carb Team G hi rise intake(no port matching) Crane 741 cam Hydraulic roller/roller rockers lift Exh:632/Int:610 Stock thunderbolt ignition Good Luck My cheap plug= If anybody is looking for a Alignment tool or Gimbal bearing remover/installer or other tools Check me out on Ebay: whoya2350 |

Wooo
I like these tall numbers. Would love to get even close to some of these numbers. You guys can edit your numbers. JFM you are right, I think the stock ignition is going to hurt me. Thats my next upgrade. Dean says he would like to see a Demon carb on it and aftermarket ignition to pick up more hp. Valve springs do have two seasons on them. |

Oops
Its actually a 547CI 4.53 Bore x 4.25 Stroke. Heads were just bowl pocket ported in case some are really doing the math. Adjust/edit accordingly. |

Just a bit more info on the build: We did bowl pocket porting on the cylinder heads only. NO port matching on intake or heads. Camshaft is installed on 104.5 in take center line and 112 lobe separation . 10.0:1 compression Holley 850 double pumper not modified. USing stock Mercury Thunderbolt ignition. I see alot of good guesses out there! .... By the way we are step testing this engines to 6000 RPM
