I gave my opinion like black = brutal HOT in the sun in the cabin and on the deck, and three motor headache, and age, etc. But he loved it and thought it was a buy of a lifetime.
He won it.
The owner now says he doesn't want the boat inspected. He (the owner) doesn't want a stranger crawling around, f-ing with his boat and the engines. Possibly screwing something up. The owner wants him to go for a test ride, only, and see that all checks out.
Seems fishy to me. Anyone know the owner or boat?
Here's the boat:

Funny this is a quote from his add "Absolutely turn-key, inspections invited. " If the owner will not allow a survey I would run away screaming as if I had just sat on the deck of that boat during the middle of summer in SC.

I know that boat very well. PM if you like and I can give the prior owners number here in Illinois. He is a Fountain fanatic and that was his baby. Stunning boat that was flawless when he sold it. Not a stress crack anywhere. Fresh water and was very fast.
PS: On Ebay if he won the auction it is his boat. Ebay auctions are not subject to inspections. It is final. Sorry that is how it works. I too would be a litlle upset if I sold a boat rather cheap on Eaby and then they buyer wants an inspection, etc.... Due dilligance before the bid not after. He got as great price on a 42' Last time i saw the boat it ran 105 mph and was in mint condition. Even Reggie Fountain drove the boat a few years ago and was admiring how nice it was to the owner.
