Default Who's on Lake Norman?

I'm new to Lake Norman and trying to see who else goes out on LKN that's on here. I've been out 7-8 times this year and it's a nice lake... nothing like the St. Lawrence but then again I wouldn't have been out 7-8 times this year if I was up in NY.

Don't live in the LKN area yet, but I'm in the area quite often for work.

Some good bars/restaurants on the water: Rusty Rudder, Exit 36 Billiards, Midtown Sundries, The North Harbor Club, Vinnies Raw Bar.

I'm sure some locals will chime in as well.

I am on LKN, but just moved this winter so am not as familiar with it yet. Stuck is right though. Boat Freaks is based out of the Charlotte area, so lots of LKN people there.

I bought my boat last year from a family in Charlotte who ran Lake Norman. Beautiful area.

The Rusty Rutter is always a good stop for drinks but the food isn't that great and they frequently run out of a lot of items on the menu. If you go at night be careful when you're leaving, the police sit right there waiting to pull you over. There is a "sand bar" close to the rutter that a lot of people go to but it's not really a sand bar, there is about 10-15 feet of water where everyone ties up but it's a good time. MidTown is a better bar for food, it's at the southeast end of the lake. If anyone heads that way send me a PM, I'll be out most weekends.

I am out there every weekend. A couple of us are getting together to run on Saturday if you are interested.
