Default Outerlimits is Rockin'

While working in Rhode Island yesterday, Fred (OSO's animalhouse) had offered to give me a tour of the Outerlimits facility before I headed out of town.

All I can say is WOW!!!!! That place has got it going on! It sure is refreshing to see a performance boat builder that's busy. I had counted 12 boats in various stages of completion from boats in the mold to geting ready for sea trials. They've got 40-50 workers all working their butts off. The glass work was flawless. These guys take a lot of pride in their work. and the rigging and engine shop had big horsepower everywhere you looked. The Outerlimits in-house engine shop had many projects invarious stages. I had no idea their engine program was so indepth. When I peeked into the dyno room (first boat builder I've visited that had a dyno on site) Mike Fiore and Dustin Whipple were running some pulls on a big 8.8 Whipple Charged EFI motor. These guys are serious about their trade! I was very impressed to see Mike right in up to his elbows with his workers not sitting behind some big oak desk.

Great stuff and very nice people. I think what impressed me the most is all the workers were friendly and happy. These guys are at the top of their game without any ego. Real people who enjoy building the finest product they can possibly put together with the best materials available. What an impressive team.

Thanks for the tour Fred!
