Default Another tragedy in the Grand Haven/Spring Lake Area of MI...

I still don't understand the no lighs comments by the news and people who comment on the story. If his nav lights were off, it would not have helped him see anything and put other in danger. They make it out like he was not running head lights/docking lights which I think are illegal to run with and not all boats have them.

RIP

wow, how sad, I hope the injured recover, sad for those kids.

On the news this morning they reported on about 8 drownings on area lakes just this weekend. Sad start to summer

The thought of this gives me chills... It's so sad.
Sure glad the kids are ok and I hope the others are well soon. I know this will be a life long pain they will all live with, OMG!

Very sad - but at least those kids are OK. A rough weekend for many people...

If he was traveling at a high rate of speed - well, I still can't understand why people insist on going faster than no-wake speeds anytime after dark...

I was near the river(on Leonard st.) and heard the ambulances (assuming the same incident).... I'm in Spring Lake 3-4 times during the summer and it seems like there is always a tragedy. Either on Lake Michigan, the Grand River, or at HankyPank(Spring Lake).
